Client Information
The following paragraphs provide a summary description of several projects we have completed for our clients over the past few years..

The Handleman Company is an international wholesaler of music, software, video and other entertainment products.
New Release Benchmarking System
KL&A developed this system, which assists Handleman buyers in making purchasing and product placement decisions. The system uses historical sales data to develop customer strength ratings, and predict sales levels for new product purchases.

The system was developed using VB on the client side; the main NRB database is written in SQL Server, and is heavily based on custom stored procedures. The application also makes connections to several Handleman Oracle bases, for transmission of orders generated by the NRB system.

Fixtures System
KL&A developed a custom system to support the purchasing of fixtures for deployment at Handleman's retail customer base. The system includes EDI-based communcation with several of Handleman's trading partners, for sending out Purchase Orders (850s), receiving Shipment Notices (856s) and Invoices (810s) as well as vendor catalog data (832s). The system automatically matches POs, invoices and shipment data, highlights any descrepancies, generates debit memos as required, and transmits approved invoice data to Handleman's Accounts Payables system.

GCCMH provides mental health care services to the citizens of Genesee County, Michigan, in a Mangaged Care environment.
Data Warehouse
The Data Warehouse system provides the foundatation for a variety of reporting functions at GCCMH. The system runs nightly extract routines to refresh service activity data, which resides in an iSeries (AS/400) system, and also retrieve financial (G/L and A/P) data that resides in ORACLE Financials.
Provider Extranet
Our Online Provider Service Center (OPSC) allows contracted providers to use a VPN-based secure connection, over the internet, to view service authorizations, look up client data, report outcome data, file claims for services provided, and monitor the status of those claims. The web site resides on a Windows 2000 server, running IIS5.0, serving up ASP-based web pages. Data presented on those web pages is based primarily on stores procedures coded in SQL on their iSeries (AS/400) system.
